It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of long time Geeks Without Bounds volunteer Paul Mason.

He was the co-organizer of the first and second International Space Apps challenges in Glasgow, Scotland and (co-)organizer of many Random Hacks of Kindness events. He started the RHoK-Sec program of security-focused RHoK events and cybersecurity defense exercise (CDX) events.

Geeks Without Bounds and the DisCO.coop are working together on a multi-year project to create software, documentation, and training for distributed cooperative organizations (DisCOs). The goal of the partnership is to make it possible for anyone, anywhere in the world, to create a worker-owned cooperative business with people they know and tap into a global network of cooperatives that can work collaboratively on projects.

Watch this space for updates on the software, research projects, upcoming webinars, and other DisCO News!
